Horatio Nelson



Marino English (Norfolk, 1758 - Gulf of Cadiz, 1805). He joined the Royal Navy from the age of twelve, sailing on the ship of an uncle, at twenty was already captain. Participated in major naval battles, including the taking of Corsica (where he lost an eye, 1774) and War of Independence against the thirteen British colonies in North America (1775-1783). But it was in the wars against revolutionary France where he became a symbol of heroism for the British: in those wars reached the rank of admiral, was ennobled (Baron Viscount in 1798 and in 1801) and found his lover, Lady Hamilton.

NELSON




Nelson's Column is a monument in Trafalgar Square in central London built to commemorate Admiral Horatio Nelson , who died at the Battle  Trafalgar in 1805. The monument was constructed between 1840 and 1843 .

 IRENE:Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson, 1st Duke of Bronté (29 September 1758 – 21 October 1805) was a flag officer famous for his service in the Royal Navy, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars. . He was wounded several times in combat, losing one arm and the sight in one eye. Of his several victories, the best known and most notable was the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805, during which he was shot and killed.
